60% criteria for placements
Most mass-recruiter drives ask for at least 60% (or the equivalent CGPA) in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation — but the exact rule, the branches allowed and the backlog rule vary by company and by drive year. Check the company’s own hiring page for your batch before you apply; this page shows what those pages say as of October 2026 (checked 20 and 25 October).
60% criteria — what it usually means
- Where it applies: usually Class 10, Class 12, diploma if you did one, graduation, and post-graduation if you did one — all of them.
- How CGPA converts: it depends on the company’s rule and your university. TCS’s NQT FAQ turns CGPA into a percentage by multiplying by 10, so 7.2 becomes 72%. Other companies may ask for your university’s own formula or a conversion certificate, and that can give a lower number — (CGPA − 0.75) × 10, a formula some universities use, turns 6.5 into 57.5%. Use the method your drive asks for, and keep your university’s conversion certificate if it issues one.
- 58% vs 60%: if a drive says “at least 60%”, 58% does not meet it. Some drives allow rounding where published; most do not. Check the wording for your drive.
By company (as of 25 October 2026; each drive can differ)
| Company | Marks rule on its own page | Branches | Backlog / gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| TCS NQT (2024–2026 batches) | 60% or equivalent CGPA in 10, 12, diploma if any, graduation and post-graduation if any | B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc/M.S, most branches; full-time, recognised by AICTE/UGC | No pending backlog; gap at most 24 months; 18–28 years |
| Wipro (Elite 2023; Turbo/WILP 2025) | 60% or 6.0 CGPA in 10, 12 and graduation | Elite: most B.E./B.Tech branches; Turbo: CS/IT/circuital at select institutes; WILP: BCA/B.Sc with Maths | One pending backlog allowed at assessment, to be cleared by the final semester; gap up to 3 years before graduation |
| Capgemini (2022 drive) | 60% in diploma and graduation | B.E., B.Tech (any branch), MCA | No backlog at the time of the process; gap at most 1 year between stages |
| Accenture | Varies by job listing; check the listing — the campus portal says eligibility depends on the role | Varies by role | Varies by listing |
| Cognizant GenC (2027 pages) | Not published for current batches | 2027: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech; excludes Leather/Food/Fashion and dual degrees | Not published for current batches |

B.Tech ECE se hu mass recruiter me eligible hu kya
Many mass-recruiter drives list “all branches” or “most branches”. TCS’s 2024–2026 NQT page says B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/M.E./MCA/M.Sc/M.S in any specialisation from a recognised college, full-time. Wipro’s Elite page says most branches; its Turbo page limits to CS/IT and circuital branches at select institutes. For ECE specifically, check the drive’s page: ECE is usually eligible for mass-recruiter tracks and for Accenture’s open listings, but not always for every Turbo-style track.
Active backlog vs cleared backlog
- Active (pending) backlog: a subject you have not yet cleared when you take the test. As of October 2026, many drives do not allow any: TCS’s NQT rules say no pending backlog, and Capgemini’s 2022 drive said no backlog at the time of the process. Wipro’s pages (Elite 2023, Turbo and WILP 2025) allow one pending backlog at assessment, to be cleared by the final semester.
- Cleared backlog: a backlog you cleared earlier, with a pass mark on the marksheet. TCS’s and Wipro’s rules above are about pending backlogs, so a cleared one is not counted against them; a drive can still ask about your backlog history or set its own rule, so check your drive notice.
- Your marksheet and the company’s page decide, not a senior’s memory. Carry the final marksheet that shows “cleared”.

Questions
60% criteria hai TCS me mera 58% hai kya eligible hu?
For the 2024–2026 NQT batches, TCS’s page said at least 60% (or the equivalent CGPA) in every level — Class 10, 12 and graduation. That wording means 58% would not meet it. Rules vary by drive and year, so check the page for your batch.
B.Tech ECE se hu mass recruiter me eligible hu kya 60% criteria hai
Many mass-recruiter drives include most branches. TCS’s 2024–2026 page said B.Tech in any specialisation from a recognised college, full-time. Wipro’s Elite says most branches; Turbo limits to CS/IT/circuital. For ECE, check the drive’s own page — ECE is usually eligible for the main campus tracks.
CGPA kaise percentage me convert hota hai
It depends on the company’s rule and your university. TCS’s NQT FAQ multiplies CGPA by 10 (7.2 → 72%). Other companies may ask for your university’s formula or a conversion certificate, which can give a lower number — (CGPA − 0.75) × 10 turns 6.5 into 57.5%. Use the method your drive asks for and keep the certificate handy.
Active backlog ka kya matlab hai
A pending backlog — a subject you have not yet cleared. As of October 2026, TCS’s NQT rules allow no pending backlog, while Wipro’s Elite, Turbo and WILP pages allow one at assessment if you clear it by the final semester. A cleared backlog is one you later passed. Rules change by drive, so check your drive notice.
