Cognizant GenC vs GenC Next, Pro and standard
Cognizant’s campus pages for the 2027 batch list several tracks under “2027 on-campus hiring (GenC Next, GenC Pro and GenC)” and describe who each is for. They do not publish a current salary, mark cutoff, backlog rule, question count or coding languages for these tracks — any number you see elsewhere for 2027 is not from Cognizant’s current page. Older campus pages (2023 batch) listed GenC at 4 LPA and GenC Pro at 5.4 LPA; those figures are dated, not the 2027 offer.
Cognizant GenC aptitude syllabus kya hai 2025 ka
Cognizant’s GenC programme page says its assessments evaluate “communication skills, aptitude and/or technical skills”, and that if you clear them you meet the hiring team for an interview. Its current pages do not publish a detailed aptitude syllabus, a question count, timings or coding languages for the 2027 batch. Older experience posts list verbal, analytical, quantitative and written communication, but those are not on the current official page, so treat them as past patterns, not this drive’s syllabus.

GenC vs GenC Next vs GenC Pro — how Cognizant describes them (2027 page)
| Track (2027 page) | Who it lists | Notes on that page |
|---|---|---|
| 2027 on-campus hiring: GenC Next, GenC Pro and GenC | B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech — excludes Leather, Food, Fashion Technology and dual degrees | One hiring route; Cognizant does not break out separate cutoffs or salaries per track on the current page |
| AI and Analytics (2027) | B.E./B.Tech in AI & Data Science or AI & ML, or CSE/IT with AI elective/honours | Separate AI track (its page title says GenC Next and GenC); the page lists eligibility, not the assessment topics |
| Analyst Trainee (2026 batch) | Three-year degrees: BCA, B.Sc, BA, B.Com, BBA, B.Voc | Different track with its own page and dates |
| Ace Team Program (announced June 2026) | Full-stack AI engineers | Selection on full-stack AI development, DSA, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic AI and front-end, per its announcement |
Cognizant’s older (2023) campus pages said GenC was 4 LPA and GenC Pro was 5.4 LPA — we note that date because the current (2027) pages do not publish a salary. Treat any “GenC Next is 6.75 LPA” figure on the open web as unverified unless the company’s own page says it.
Selection, where described, is: assessments of communication, aptitude and/or technical skills, then an interview. The programme page also says “No service bonds” and describes the programme “without obligation”. For the current page, see Cognizant’s 2027 on-campus hiring page on Superset, checked 25 October 2026.
Cognizant GenC Next coding round me kaunse DSA questions aate hai
Cognizant does not publish a list. Students commonly report easy-to-medium problems on strings, counting with a hash map, stacks and greedy — the same patterns that appear in Cognizant GenC coding questions (8 practice problems with tested code). Cognizant does not publish input limits either, so read them in each problem: if N can be about 105, aim for O(N) or O(N log N) — a loop inside a loop would be about 1010 steps and too slow.
What students report by track (not published by Cognizant, and it can change each year):
- GenC standard track: often easy problems (move zeros, first unique letter, balanced brackets), where doing them cleanly and on time matters.
- Higher bands (Next/Pro tracks): often medium greedy and simple dynamic programming as well (boats, stock buy-sell, knapsack-style), and sometimes a question where you fix broken logic.
Which to target by DSA level
- DSA is basic today: target the main on-campus hiring route (GenC) first, practise the eight easy problems, and time yourself to 15–20 minutes per problem.
- DSA is comfortable: add the medium problems and time yourself to 20–25 minutes; aim for a higher-band shortlist if the company does banding this year.
- Either way: aptitude and communication decide the first shortlist; do not skip them for DSA alone.
