How Parakeet AI works
- Sign in with Google, Apple or email.
- Create a session: choose the mode, language, AI model, resume and instructions.
- Connect it to the call: in Chrome you share the call's tab; the desktop app captures your display (a Mac asks for Screen Recording permission); on a phone it uses the microphone.
- Credits start counting once the call audio is captured. Each 30 minutes uses half a credit, and a session extends by itself for another half credit unless you turn Auto Extend off.
- It never joins the call as a participant.

Refunds and renewals
- Its FAQ offers a 7-day refund window for accidental or unused purchases, with no partial refunds for credits left over, and one refund per person.
- After 7 days, or once used, a purchase is refunded only for a technical issue on Parakeet AI's side, within 30 days.
- The yearly plan paid by card renews automatically; paid by UPI it is a one-time payment.
Languages
Its FAQ says it supports 50+ languages but listens for one language at a time, so if the call switches language you change the session language. Its site doesn't mention Hindi-English mixing.
What's new in Parakeet AI
Parakeet AI has no public changelog; its blog carries articles rather than release notes. The newest dated changes on its site:

Privacy: what happens to your data
- Call audio is streamed to Speechmatics for the transcript; the transcript, your resume, notes and any screenshot you send go to the AI model you picked (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic or Cerebras).
- Your screen stays on your device; a picture is sent only when you press Screenshot.
- Saving a transcript is a choice per session. Its question bank uses the interviewer's side of saved, paid English interviews unless you opt out under Privacy.
- Data is kept for as long as the account exists, and the service is hosted in the United States.
Limits Parakeet AI lists itself
- One language at a time in a session.
- In a browser, live sessions need desktop Chrome; other browsers aren't supported.
- Mock interviews have a fixed length (30 minutes paid, 10 free) and can't be extended.
